Who's Been Blogging?

I did a little bit better this week with 360 in 60… 4 out of 5 days. All I got during Friday’s broadcast was dead air- technology is wonderful when it works! We started the week off with Erica Hill on Monday & Tuesday and finished with Anderson Cooper on Wednesday & Thursday… enjoy!

How’s Anderson been doing with his New Year’s Resolution? The AC360 blog saw yet another improvement in February with the addition of Live Blogging during the program. February 6th was the first night of live blogging and there were a total of 13 live blogging sessions during the month. Anderson participated in 10 of those sessions.

In light of the live blogging, I’ve made a few enhancements to this month’s calendar. The Green checks still represent blog posts by Anderson. The highlighted days represent nights that Anderson participated in the live blogging.

A few stats from February:

  • 209 posts were published
  • Anderson posted on 7 different days
  • 55 named contributors posted
  • The top 5 contributors so far in 2008:
    • Anderson Cooper- 23 posts
    • David Gergen- 22 posts
    • Candy Crowley- 20 posts
    • David Reisner- 17 posts
    • Gary Tuchman- 15 posts

Ready for a few distractions? I took 4 screen caps from the week of February 25th to create tonight’s puzzle. My time on this one was 6:31.

Have you visited our sister blog recently? We've been redecorating over at All Things CNN. Stop in and take a look.

Enjoy your week & I hope you all have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I think the blogging calendar shows fairly enough that he tries to keep his promise of blogging (live blogging included). But I think blog post is still better because we get to hear his takes on the issues being tackled in his program as compared to his joining the "live blogging" where he can only participate when there's time for him to do so, IMHO!

Happy St-Patrick's Day!!

My puzzle was sabotaged! There were 2 pieces that were in the right place, but they wouldn't "click"! I also kept putting one Anderson's hair on the other ones etc., that resulted in 13:00 as my time...(though it didn't stop counting, because of those 2 pieces!) Sabotage!!!

I did have fun with it, so thanks BA!!

BookAsylum, thanks for the 360 in 60. I really like hearing it.

I agree with copperfish, a blog post shows his take on an issue. I wish he would regular blog more often. However, I do like the live blogging.

Does he think the live blogging counts?

I really prefer Anderson do the ''regular ''blog posts too, actually, and I wish he would do more of them.

I love the Ander puzzle!

Happy St.Patrick's day everyone.

We are having a blizzard today, tomorrow, and into Wednesday.
they say 30-50cm's for us with a nor'easter wind, and some freezing rain thrown in-how charming!!LOL
Oh,30 cm's is a foot of snow,so we are going to have an interesting few days.

The one thing that I've seen with the live blogging is the immediate feedback - for instance when they're spending too much time on a single story- those comments turn up on the live blog & Anderson has responded to them with reasons (beyond just ratings) for why that was their focus that evening & why its important. It’s not perfect... but I don't think they have enough time during a live broadcast to do much more.

I agree that seeing Anderson "post" more often would be my first choice.

Aside from Anderson's blogging - I've really enjoyed reading Sean Yates' Blog from the Back Row (which we haven't seen recently). Again, this helps to answer the question, “why did they do that?”
